Just one quick injection each week. No daily pills. No complicated routines. Easy to stay consistent — even with a busy life.
Semaglutide helps reduce cravings and slows how quickly food leaves your stomach — so you feel full longer and stop obsessing about your next meal.
Weight loss that feels manageable, not miserable — so you can stick with it and protect your results long-term.
This medication supports long-term behavior change, helping you build healthier habits that last — even after you stop taking it.
Originally created for type 2 diabetes, semaglutide may also lower your blood sugar, cholesterol, and inflammation, giving you metabolic protection as you lose weight.
Most clients lose 1–2 pounds per week — without crash diets or extreme restriction. Small, consistent wins that actually stick.

Brand name medications Zepbound and Wegovy prices range from $1100 to over $1400 per month.
Semaglutide (brand names Ozempic®, Wegovy®) and tirzepatide (brand names Mounjaro®, Zepbound®) are powerful medications originally developed for type 2 diabetes that have since been FDA-approved for long-term weight management. Clinical studies show that semaglutide can help patients lose an average of 9–13% of their body weight, while tirzepatide has demonstrated even greater results, averaging 15–20% weight loss over 72 weeks.
Compounded versions of these medications may still be available for patients with a specific medical need that prevents them from using the brand-name drugs. However, compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are not FDA-approved. At DW Health First, we prescribe compounded medications only through vetted, FDA-registered 503A and 503B pharmacies that use FDA-approved ingredients and follow strict safety standards.
These treatments are generally recommended for adults with a BMI of 30 or greater, or a BMI of 27 or greater with weight-related conditions such as hypertension, insulin resistance, high cholesterol, or heart disease.
Both medications are part of a class called GLP-1 receptor agonists. Tirzepatide is unique because it also targets GIP receptors, offering a dual mechanism.
Semaglutide and tirzepatide mimic natural gut hormones that regulate blood sugar and appetite.
They slow stomach emptying, helping you feel full longer and reduce calorie intake.
They improve insulin sensitivity and stabilize blood sugar levels, which supports fat burning.
Clinical studies show:
Semaglutide patients lost an average of 9–13% of body weight over one year.
Tirzepatide patients achieved even higher results, with some studies showing 15–20% weight loss over 72 weeks.
When combined with lifestyle adjustments such as balanced nutrition and activity, results can be even more dramatic.
Both semaglutide and tirzepatide are considered safe under medical supervision. Common side effects may include mild gastrointestinal issues such as nausea, stomach upset, or constipation. To minimize these effects, we start patients at a low dose and gradually increase to the target dose.
We do not recommend these medications for patients with type 1 diabetes, pancreatitis, or a personal/family history of certain thyroid cancers. During your consult, your provider will review your health history to determine the safest, most effective option for you.
Compounded GLP-1 medications are not FDA-approved. However, when sourced responsibly, they are considered safe. We only prescribe through vetted 503A and 503B pharmacies that follow FDA oversight and strict safety standards. You will also be monitored closely by your provider throughout treatment.
We prescribe compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide for weight management. These are the same primary molecule as found in brand-name GLP-1 medications like Wegovy®, Ozempic®, and Mounjaro®, but are prepared by licensed compounding pharmacies.
Compounded GLP-1 medications are not FDA-approved, but they may be prescribed legally when brand-name medications are cost-prohibitive or unavailable. At DW Health First, we only use trusted FDA-registered 503A and 503B compounding pharmacies that follow strict safety, purity, and quality standards.
Program costs include a membership fee for provider oversight, unlimited provider messaging, plus the cost of your compounded medication and shipping. Pricing depends on your medication (semaglutide or tirzepatide) and dose. Your provider will review all costs during your consultation.
